Open letter to Google for Truck Users

Google Map is such a vital software application that gives us the luxury to plan and determine movement of people and goods. It allows ...
us to know the exact timing of our movement depending on which mode we decide to use. It furnishes us with details of traffic situations and other features. It is indeed a brilliant innovation considering its relationship in GPS, GIS applications through the use of trackers for fleet management.
However, i discovered that google map has omitted a very important mode of land transport which is the Heavy duty trucks. If you look at the different modes of transport featured in the google map, you will see a car, a train, pedestrianism, cycling and Air transport. The Heavy duty truck mode of transportation is economically important to any country especially Nigeria where more than 80% of goods are moved via this mode. If featured on the google map, it will give haulage practitioners the opportunity to know the estimated time it will take to move goods from one location to another (luxurious buses can also fit into this category because of their tonnage). Maybe in the future, we can have features for water transport *smiles*.

So therefore, dear Google kindly add the heavy duty truck feature in the Google map application for a more holistic usage. Thank you”.

Kindly recommend and share till it reaches the person in-charge. Thanks
